"When I was critically indisposed, when I thought that it was all over, my son called me and said, 'Daddy, you are not dying; you will attend my graduation.'"

The Archbishop said those reassuring words came flooding back as Macaulay's name echoed through the cathedral while receiving the Academic Excellence award.

"As his name was called and the prize for Academic Excellence announced, there was a thunderous applause in the Coventry Cathedral celebrating the young man who achieved this feat."

Unable to hide his emotions, he continued:

"My wife jumped up and shouted with joy, while tears of joy began to flow down my cheeks. Remembering his words when I was almost dying, I began to praise God and mutter to those around me in tears, 'He is my son.'"

Expressing profound gratitude, Archbishop Opoko added:

"Mac, my son, has made me proud. He has made the family, the Ibeku Ancient Kingdom, Abia State, and indeed Nigeria proud."

He also expressed appreciation to those who supported the family's trip to the United Kingdom.

"I return all the glory to the Lord God Almighty and sincerely thank my indefatigable and quintessential Governor, His Excellency, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, OFR, and many others who made our participation in the graduation ceremony a reality. His Excellency gave us wings to fly. We also appreciate everyone who, through prayers, financial support, and goodwill, made it possible for us to witness this great milestone."
